After pausing to choose a parking space I started too move to the space and lost all power. Nothing. I checked the dog bone first okay, all other fuses okay, I'll check the wire to kick stand later.

Thoughts, and not just 1500. Any electrical stuff.

Kick stand switch is only engine kill isn't it? Everything else should be on so it's a main power problem my guess.

1500 still using a dogbone fuse?? Try jumping across it, have seem them "look" good but be cracked in half.

gee this sucks ...
Not that bad. if it is a flakey main fuse then chances are good it went bad from age since a short circuit would have blown the fuse and that's usually obvious looking at the fuse.

Call me Randy, easier to talk thru things to try.
Can I call you tomorrow, work is crazy today.
Sure but I thought you were stranded at work?

I'm going to have it towed. Well, I might call after work just in case.
Call or text any time bro.

From the description, I'd say it HAS to be a blown fuse or loose connection. NO power to anything at all leads me to suspect a bad power OR ground connection. The real problem is WHERE might that connection be? The main fuse on the 1500 is Huge....and no mistaking if it is blown...it would be obvious to anyone. It might not be a bad idea to get a screwdriver and loosen/tighten the two screws holding that fuse in, just to be sure it's making contact on both ends. There is also another fuse(blade style, 30 amp) right behind the main fuse, on the starter solenoid. I'd have to look to see what it is for, but it's easy enough to check to see if it is bad.
Could be something with the fuse box on the left side too, so need to check those fuses.
I know the one time my 1100 did the exact same thing it was the main fuse, even tho it LOOKED fine.

Hope it's something simple Randy

Look for any wiring that might rub the steering neck. Possible a wire has rubbed through the insulation. Pull the wires from the battery and be sure the ends are clean and shiny. clean them even if they look good and clean the battery terminals. My truck did something similar and it was glazed on one battery terminal.

There is a spare dog bone in the cover, I think I'll try replacing current with the spare. I also see a funky looking fuse just behind the dog bone, I'll try moving the dog bone over and check that fuse too.

Thanks for the help guys!

Try putting the key in the ignition and turn it off and on 4- 5 times. If the switch is bad it might work after that.
