I founded CGW almost 7 years ago with the intent to present ACCURATE information about the early Goldwings.

Right up front, the first forum you see in fact is 'What this forum is all about'.

What this forum is all about
With so much wrong information on the net, This forum was created in April of 2007 to provide owners with the most accurate information available to us for the flat 4 and 6 cylinder Goldwings.
This community consists of like members restoring and improving them on a small budget.

We think outside the box on many things here as there are many ways to get the job done and keep these old girls on the road.


I put that description of the CGW forums there for a reason......because I feel strongly about it.
Inaccurate information or information passed on to others because you heard it was so and turns out to be wrong wastes money and time, both of which most of us don't have enough of.

I'm calling out to everyone asking PLEASE, if you do not know for CERTAIN what your passing on to others to be accurate, please mention that in your posts.

Just kiddin, but I've seen info from one forum to another that was so confusing it's ridiculous. I think we here have the most accurate stuff out there, but everyone makes mistakes now and then. We try to keep our mistakes to a minimum, and if it's wrong, we'll correct it. :good:

Darn - I was just about to explain how to replace the A/C compressor on an 1100! :hihihi:

It's not perfect, but I believe the info presented here is far more accurate than most other forums. A little research before you post is always a good idea. That being said, if I've given bad info or advice, or led anyone in the wrong direction, please accept my humble apologies!

I find all the help and information and suggestions here to be fantastic . If there's an occasional ooops that's a goof then oh well even mechanics with years of experience have those moments and you have to pay them huge for that ...

Maybe it is an issue with Tapatalk, but on the PC version on the first page in the "What this forum is all about" note it states.
