I found this part, it fell out, when I took out the indicator cluster on my 79 GL1000. I cannot find where it came from or if it might have had something to do with the original headlight bucket. The headlight was removed some time ago and a fairing was installed by some previous owner. Can anyone tell me what it might be?? I have looked at parts break downs and can't find it.

Part 1 here. https://www.westernhonda.com/fiche_secti ... veh=131059 I think it keeps the wires from rubbing on the steering stem tube. Edit for pictures- I've got that part of the bike apart. There's the tab at the bottom of the stem tube that limits fork side to side travel. This bracket hold the wires away from the tab. W/o the splitter, don't know if your wires run by there.
