Those of you with looooooong memories will possibly recall that I had some of these obsolete pivot collars manufactured for me. They were expensive due to the material and heat treatment process and very slow moving, so once they were gone I didn't do any more. That was way back, would you believe 2010? No, neither would I but there it is.
At that time possibly I jumped the gun, as there were still the odd few turning up in the NOS dealers lists.
However, you ain't not never gonna find nones now, buddy! :)

So I'm thinking of doing some more, but ......not until I can gauge what the demand is.

Most GL1000 owners, it seems, don't even know they have swing arm bearings, let alone service the things.
Yeah, I know they are not the easiest thing to get to for greasing or more drastic maintenance, but they can have a dramatic effect on the handling if they fail. Remember bearings don't last for ever, particularly ones that have never seen a lick of grease in years and, when the bearing goes, so does the collar. In fact, the original Honda collars are not hardened too well and get indented, which hastens the bearing failure.
(Have a look at these for a horror story of what yours could look like......)

I have not yet gone back to the machine shop for a price, but obviously in the intervening 6 years things will have increased considerably. My intention would be that they only came as a complete bearing kit as making the most sense.

So an educated guess for the kit would be somewhere around $150 -$170 per kit, depending to some extent on the number I order, for which you get:
2 WinGovations pivot collars
2 needle roller bearings
2 needle roller thrust bearings
2 thrust washers
2 Randakk/WinGovations bearings seals
Full instruction sheets on removal and replacement.

Ok, what I'm looking for is not - 'Oh that's a good idea' but - 'yes, I would buy complete bearing kit', hence the poll.
You can choose any two option in the poll.
Thanks for your help, guys.
