Hey gang,
When I pulled the fuel pump off of my 76 GL-1000, there was engine oil inside of the tachometer drive
housing. Is this right? Someone told me that the housing should be dry inside with the spiral gears
lubed with grease. But the Honda parts list shows only 3 oil seals for the camshafts.
So which is it, tachometer housing dry, lubed with grease, or is it lubed with the engine oil?
Thanks guys.

Gears and fuel pump lever lubed by engine oil there....both run off the end of the camshaft. The only seal is the o-ring around the housing. :good:
