I have one of these switches on my 78 GL1000, but the 78-79 GL1000 circuit diagram from NGW I think, does not show one
Mine is a UK model.
Can anyone shed some light here please? My electrical skills fall well short of competent!

Are you talking the european parking lights? If I recall correctly that turns on the left side signal lights steady.

Sorry, still can't post pics on this iPad. Switch is right handlebar, underneath the stop switch, next to the start button and should be for lights, 3 position, off, park, head. On the left hand bar is the switch to go from hi to Lo beam.
I think I have now sorted the connections to it but it bugs me not finding it on the diagrams

in the back of the Haynes manual there is a diagram of the UK and France KZ model, which I think is mine. Problem is it is almost unreadable, I certainly can't make out much with it.
Does anyone know of an online place for a readable diagram?
