Yes it matters which goes to the 1100 vac advance and yes the other two get plugged. Small one on the base is most likely one for vacuum advance. You might want to check dkl's post on setting up this carb.

will do, thanx

My carb only has two vacuum ports, but I have found some pictures on the internet where there are three shown. I am not sure what the third one is for...

Keep in mind I have my 34 Pict 3 on a 1200 with a C5, so there is no vacuum advance and both of mine are plugged. When I originally bought mine, it came from an 1100 and the PO gave me a bunch of pictures and this is how he had his installed.

Plug this one:

Connect this one to the vacuum advance:

I've seen a few pictures with that third vacuum port right next to the other. I am not sure what the differences are, but I would still connect the vacuum advance from the ignition to the one that I had circled and see what happens as that is the one that hasn't changed.

Is that a thermal automatic choke? Man, haven't seen that in years! Always worked great though.

Connect a vacuum gauge to the port and see if the vac increases with throttle. If it does use it for the vac advance. If not check the one you had the marker on.

Interesting... I followed the instructions I got from the guy I bought my carb and manifold from (not Juan, even though it is and older version from Juan) and my carb is mounted 180 degrees opposite. I just needed a longer fuel line and a shorted throttle cable.

This manifold had a built in throttle cable holder/tab. The seller's instructions specified that the manifold be positioned with that mounting tab on the right side. I did not have to modify the length of the throttle cable at all, just cut off the end and attach a fitting he provided, that slides into the carb, then just lengthen the fuel line.

I need to get some power to the electric choke and solenoid. Can I run 1 wire from here( red pen) and just splice that into 2 wires?

I have also grounded the carb , so that's done.

Success. It's official :clapping: I'm single carb. She fired right up once the bowl filled. Idling around 1200. I will post a video tomorrow. This is pretty cool :music:

Curious to see how she rides now. :moped:
