Hello everyone! We have an 82 1100 a friend asked us to help wake.up after many years. Carbs were completely rebuilt using brand new parts, needles jets diaphragms o ring etc etc. Bike isles runs great but no matter how we sync them or adjust the darn pilot jet we have a dedicated spot at about 1/4 throttle after quarter everything is like hang on lol.

Had them apart so many time cleaned each little hole with carb cleaner files in every ventury etc. Spotless clean fuel filters etc. Just won't get that dead spot out. Any other ideas?

Sounds like a slide needle problem at trasistion point ...sometimes the replacement needles are not matching up right with original carb parts ...either to rich there or lean....then it takes off ...could be something else also ...just going by your post made and guessing your carb clean was good ...

Could be the accelerator pump circuit. It is notorious for getting clogged right at the pump.

It is possible the replacement carb needles are not exactly the same... Accel pump is fine all checked and replaced during the rebuild.. No matter how fast or slow I open the throttle at abut 1/4 its just a dead spot... I will try to re-install the old needles for fun. and check for air leaks.
