This evening was one of those good news, bad news nights...

I spent some time cleaning, and if I say so, it needed it. All the pistons from the donor motor had quite a bit of carbon build up. The previous owner claimed the motor had a head gasket leak on the #4. I'm not seeing it. Anyway, here is what they looked like:

So a little bit of WD-40, some scotch-brite pads, some Miller Lite, and they turned out pretty good.

Now the good news... the codes on the crank shaft and engine case equate to a Brown bearing... they are in still in stock.

The bad news... the codes on the main bearings are one set of Brown and 2 sets of Green. Only the Browns are still in stock. So, now I get to search, or take a real close look at the bearings that came out of the engine in the first place.
