84 engine used as carburetor test bed. OEM carburetors cleaned with ultrasonic cleaner, all passageways seemed clear. Secondary air system has been removed. Carburetors have been synchronized. Works correctly when warmed up. :builder:

Any suggestions for stopping or diminishing the back fires when cold?

Thanks

Mine had it .. a lot.
Seemd fixed now
What I did:
Shimmed the carb needles with correct washer.
Removed the Secondary Air System (mostly for cleaning up the removal and replacement of carbs),
Removed some vacuum lines
Replaced remaining lines
Correctly sync'd carbs.
