I have 2 spare radiators (GL1000 & GL1200) and both have corrosion/leaks in the lower right quadrant (viewed from the back). Anything special about this area?

Has anyone repaired one of these radiators or is it better to just buy another used one? :builder:

A used one on EBay is under $30 (including shipping), so I'm unsure it is worth the time and effort to repair the ones I have.

Nothing problematic about that area I'm aware of.

I feel like there’s the same chance of a leak buying used.
I had a pin hole leak and used the silver/gray colored powdery sealer that comes in a tube. That was several years ago and a few coolant changes.

There is similar stuff under different branding, probably all the same stuff. There's also stuff with copper/colored. Don't think I ever tried that.

I brought my radiator to a local shop and had it rebuilt. They removed the center section, cleaned out the upper and lower "tanks" and replaced the middle section with new. A like-new radiator for about $100.
