My 1500 wont start

Okay, this has never happened. New battery, have juice but for some reason the green neutral light does not come on anymore and the bike does not click or anything. Seems like there might be a blown fuse or a short somewhere.

Okay, from what i am reading, it could possibly be the reverse lever switch that might be causing all this.

See if it fires when the clutch is pulled..cant say i`m familiar with the 1500 but if it is like the earlier GL`s.

Okay, I got it started. appears as though its the reverse lever like i thought. I sprayed some WD 40 into the lever switch , moved it around a little and Presto, no problem. green neutral came on and off I went.
I need to ride this bike more often.

They like to be ridden for sure.

I'm pretty sure the kickstand sensor can do the same thing.

That switch needs cleaned & lubed next time you get inspired to work, :hihihi: filter for cruse control, some other items not many do to keep things working well. :whistling:

This won't work, the 1500 must be in neutral to fire.

Includes the Valks.

My Valk starts in gear with the clutch as long as the side stand is up

I'll have to try that.

Makes sense, stall it in gear at a traffic stop need to restart quick.

My 1500 is the same :yes:
