got a good deal for a drivers backrest on my 82 interstate but not sure how it is mounted is there anything on this website that has instructions on how to mount it. thanks

What kind/brand backrest is it? Some have fairly simple mountings, some a little more intricate. Got a pic?

Probably a dozen or more styles and makers of back rests and more added from other models with some modifications. Post some pics of what you have.

One thing is for sure - if you plan on logging big miles over the road, the back rest is the single best thing you can do for long range comfort.
