gerry got it all LOL
I do Joe! After the last meet, I decided that sleeping on the ground in the 4' high tent was not the way to go at this age. And after my trip to Florida last year and all of the heat and humidity, I decided that it is time to load up the trailer and travel cheap, but comfortable. 8 person instant tent, air conditioning and a full size insta-bed! :music:

I'm ready.....

I have reserved spot 23 at the Boulder campground on Carlyle Lake for 16-21 June 2017. Wasn't able to get the planned dates due to fast-acting early birds making reservations before me.

The double spot holds 2 RVs and 8 tents, for up to 16 people total. The bathroom and showers is about 100 feet away.
If more than planned show up, there should be another double lot available for us, plus there are normally other sites available in the park. Auxiliary parking is two spots away, plus the boat launch parking area is a five minute walk away.

The spot has two fire pits and there will be firewood, so bring your wienies & marshmallows.

Will provide more details as they mature.

Both the bosses have been notified and she who must be obeyed has said: "get out of my hair and leave me alone!"

Now I need to get motivated and make sure the bike is ready for another long road trip.

I am going to be extending my trip. After the meet, I will be heading to Kingston, New York to survey the first boat I ever worked on. It is an ex-PT Boat and we might be attempting to acquire it and restore for passenger rides on a WWII PT Boat.

Tom

That looks like it is lake front real estate! :good:

Oh no! My company has eliminated the department I work in and may be ending my employment there. That might upset all of my current plans including this trip. :cheeky: :crying:

I will keep you posted as I find out more. Looks like I might be going back out to sea.

Too bad about your uncertain future, I was looking forward to meeting. What do you do at sea? (besides working diligently at staying dry!)

Just under two months away, guess I should limber up the bike and put the axle back on the trailer.

It is with deep regret that I must back-out of this event. Over the weekend my wife informed me that we have a trip with our son starting the same time that Gerry and I were going to be hitting the road here on the East Coast. There is just no way for me to make that trip, get home, and then beat feet to Illinois for a few days. :head bang:

I was really looking forward to this. Sorry guys! :Awe:
