I left home about 06:00 yesterday, it was 60º and mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. I didn't care because I had my klim pants in the trunk of the wing along with a waterproof jacket liner. after a stop at the gas station to fill up I hopped on m-39 and headed south, more tin tops than I wanted to see but overall the traffic wasn't bad. I took I-94 west and exited at haggerty rd., with just a fleece jacket on under the joe rocket mesh jacket I was under dressed for 60º weather. I took haggerty rd. south to huron river drive and made the jog back on to haggerty road going south, ah Bellville, mi. I headed west on Bemis rd. then south on sumpter rd. my grand parents had a farm in sumpter, mi. when I was a kid near willow and sumpter roads and I spent many weekends and summer days riding my homda minitrail and hodaka wombat out in the area. I took sumpter rd. until it ended in Monroe, mi. then took us-24 into ohio. at O-184 I made a left so I could pick up I-75. on I-75 I misread the signs ( construction don't you know ) and ended up going south instead of going east on I-280. exiting on Washington st. I made my way downtown in a round about way and on to cherry st. which is main street once you get downtown. I had to make a stop for a pic so I can say that I have a pic of the 1500 wing, the 1200 wing, and the mighty ST 1300 here. the first time I went I was on the wing but and took pic's of everything but this

leaving Toledo I took I-75 north and the temp was going up too, mid 60's by the time I got back in Michigan. I took I-275 north, there never seems to be much traffic this far south on I-275 on the weekend which was ok by me. there was plenty of traffic and idjits by the time I made it to I-96, lucky for me my next exit was only about ten miles east. 77º as I took us-24 nort, first stop was the indian, victory, zero electric dealership, the have a mighty ST 1300. it is an '06 but no abs for $5999 out the door. might have been tempted of it were $5500 out the door, it didn't have a trunk either

after leaving there it was a very short ride down the street to the Honda / Yamaha / Suzuki / Kawasaki / what ever else we can stuff in the building store. I just stopped because I had nothing else to do. as I walked around I noticed a sling shot with the hood up

they had a nice '03 wing for sale but I'm not sure I want another wing right now. got a couple text about a funeral and a memorial. being in bloomfield hills, mi. I headed east for Pontiac and made a stop for gas and a stop for lunch at Wendy's then made my way back on m-1 for the ride to Detroit. made it over to the funeral, it was a biker funeral and lots of clubs show up to pay their respects. I met up with some of the guys from my club, we stayed about an hour before riding over to the memorial. i stayed there about two hours before going home. 160 miles today, see told you it was a short ride :)
