Seems like yesterday I was swapping, riding and buying those H1`s and 2`s could have had a herd of Suzuki water cooled triples, me and no one else wanted them..never thought either would be so rare.
Nice but too much, and for me too flashy.

Someone will likely pay that. Not me. Not only can I not afford it, it's too "pretty" for me. I'd rather see it stock.

True,
Trailer queens and blinged out show bikes are a little like supermodels.
Great to look at or drool over but too expensive to keep and very impractical.
I just thought the classic Kawa 2 stroke might bring back some fond memories.

Prettiest widow maker I ever saw! If I wanted a trailer queen show bike that would be extremely tempting. Too nice to risk in todays traffic.

That 2 stroke does bring back memories.

I don't know how my brother got one when he was 16.
We could never get it to run like we expected it should, not knowing anything about them. We had only dirt bikes.
At that time we thought it should putt around town and accelerate like other 2 strokes. WRONG!
My dad got on once while we were tinkering trying to get it to "run right".
That was a site to see! It sputtered away like they do and stumbled it's way up in rpm til it let loose it's wrath that came on like a lightening strike!! Front wheel came up past a 45 degree while he was in second.....he let up and carefully turned around....and when he got back to the house I could see he was VERY serious when he shut it off and yelled..."sell this damn thing, it's too dangerous!!

That was a 500CC, or was it a 550. I can't imagine what the 750 must be like!
Hell of a motor. Would love to have one.

I met Russ Collins once as well as Elmer Trett when I worked at Davis Engineering, probably met other pioneers but being a young guy I didn't realize their importance, I remember Wayne Davis being surprised I didn't know who Elmer Trett was
My old Boss on his Top fuel...He was way to big to go fast.

Russ Collins , I worked in Gardena Ca in the mid 1970's about a mile from his shop, I had a 1971 CB 750 Dragbike that had a couple of his parts on , Been to his shop and seen the Sorcerer, Russ was the first to design the 4-1 Header, And was TOP Fuel World Champ for 12 years , The bike in this video was in my mind ART- 2 -750/ 1000 cc RC Cobra motors paired together in a V with a Blower in the middle, First Blown Injected MC back then when Hardly and Triumph were dominating the strip . See Ya ! To Find my CBX Dragbike here in New England was a miracle to me so far from home with RC go fast parts , this CBX spent most it's life 1/4 mile at a time on the strip up hear and was a early 1980's setup with all the light weight Kosman Wire wheels Air Shifter, His staff was Vance & Hines ..No wonder they Blew every one away RIP Russ.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTk6msl2Nu4

Kudo's to Kawasaki ! The U.S. drag racer went 245.36 mph for the official fastest quarter-mile on two wheels. McBride finished the 2009 campaign with four victories on the AMA Dragbike tour. What a beautiful engineering job Byron Hines did, not to mention someone with the nuts to ride it.

A friend of mine had a kwaker 750 triple a H1, it had it about 2 months before he crashed it total right off and nearly him too, Broken left fore arm in 3 places I think he broke the wrist on his left and a broken leg. One lucky SOB.

:good:

I love 2 strokes.
My first street bike was a Suzuki gt 185.
I beat everything I raced off the line till I hit 50 mph.
16 and my first set of wheels I could drive on the road :)

I found a Yamaha RD 250 in a barn a dozen years ago.
Got it for $300 took me 5 years to get it from Michigan to NC.
I wanted to make a cafe bar hopper street racer hybrid, but it had 398 miles on it.
I let it sit in my living room till last year when a friend finally talked me out of it.
I never rode it because I looked like a pig fuking a football on it.
