40 years ago today, on my 18th birthday, I got my motorcycle learner's permit. Leaving the DMV, I walked 1/2 mile down the street to pick up my brand new, year model leftover, a '76 KZ400. The dealer gave me a quick lesson on the whole clutch/throttle thing and off I went. Scared and excited it was about 1/2 hr ride through mostly city traffic. I didn't die. I felt so adult that day, and yet I look at my 3 boys who are about that age (17-21) and they look so young to me today. 12 years later I got my dream bike and I rode it to work again yesterday. Happy Trails, everyone. Dave

I wish I would have done what you did on this day in history... 31 years ago I married my wife. Sometimes I think buying a bike would have been a better deal!

Enjoy the day Dave!

Happy birthday Dave.

Do your boys ride also?
The 21 year old is a special needs kid/young man. No
The 19 year old is very cautious by nature and has never said anything about it. No.
The 17 year old has asked about learning to ride and I said we'd talk about it when he's 21. Maybe.

Happy Birthday!

Not only do we share the same birthday, but it appears we were born in the same year as well.
Mike
Oh... and a Happy Birthday to you as well, Mike.
