Might give a little extra room on the top side as well as being able to run the K & N cleaner. Probably could build the adapter cheaper than what there asking for it

Had this come across my feed today, thought I’d pass it on. Made for the 1000/1100 engines. https://oneoffs.bike/store/intake-kit

Not for the 1200’s.

No, but it has me thinking about making one. I thought I had an extra carb top, but couldn't find it... now I think I need to look a little harder for it.

All I know is those screws on the 1200 OEM airbox are a bitch to get out when they freeze up. Ruined one air box getting two screws out one time.

Yes they are, and that is why I have an extra cover.

From my reading, the airbox supplies a clean undisturbed air source for the carbs. Does this lack of protection lead to uneven running in a crosswind. This is the problem with pod filters on a cb750 style carb setup.
