yesterday while you guys were bizzy with carb conversion, brake, and other repairs i had breakfast then loaded some summer riding gear along with my camers and gps on the wing. i took schafer north to I-96, took I-96 east and picked up m-8 going east. i headed north on I-75. light traffic until up around 14 mile rd. once i got up to big beaver rd. i found out why, fog, lot of heavy fog. so much that my windshield was dripping water. i was out of the fog by the time i reached pontiac, mi. i stopped in saginaw, mi for $10 in gas and to take off the fleece jacket i was wearing under the metro jacket. thats when i found out i had left my mesh gloves. i keep some tourmaster fleece glove liners inthe trunk, they would have to do and they did. I-75 was closed just north if where iwas but the detour took me on the I-675 loop and right back on I-75. next exit was for me was m-25, bay city. i took m-25 to m-13 then hopped on m-247 for the short ride to bay city state park

it was getting warm, i still had on my metro jacket so i headed back to the wing to change into my joe rocket phoenix jacket. once ready i got back on the wing and headed back to m-25 and downtown bay city, mi. i had no plans to stop, the plan was to get up near port austin, mi and pull into one of the road side parks along the water. it took about an hour to get to my next destination

you could feel the temp start to drop so i got back on m-25 and headed for port huron. i was going to stop in thomas edison park but as with most places the deer are on the move and the way i was going home was another two hours on the bike through plenty of small towns with lots of deer. when i got in downtown port huron the draw bridge was up so i had to wait a few minutes but was soon rolling again. i took m-29 and going to st. clair, mi and wouldn't you know it the draw bridge was up, more waiting but people were out like it was some sort of special occasion. on the move again i took m-29 around to I-94 then i took I-94 west for detroit. i exeted at lonyo st. and took it to warren rd. i made a quick stop at mc donalds, its about a mile to my house from there. i left home about 8:30am and arrived back home at 5:25pm with a total of 386 miles under my belt plus a few nice pic's

This thread popped up in my "random" list and I have to say it was another great "William Report". While I'm pretty sure most every state - or global locale has some nice scenery and sites to exploit via motorcycle, I believe there are some of us who are better at sniffing them out than others.

Thanks for the Fall riding report, William. Somewhat after the fact!
