In the 2011 Brisbane floods we didn't see many problems on the south side of Brisbane as it was the Brisbane river that flooded affecting the CBD. With the high amount of rain from Debbie it has had a big effect on our local rivers the Albert and the Logan. We are able to go places from our house just not everywhere that we would normally travel. Others are not so lucky as whole communities in our local area have been isolated.
This is pretty good footage from Queensland Police Polair chopper, unfortunately I can only provide it from their Facebook page.

Some pictures of Facebook that gives you non Facebook guys a little idea of the flooding.
Thanks for all the well wishes. We are out and about atm but will return home soon as they are predicting water over the Logan River bridge at Waterford in the next couple of hours. Ruth wouldn't let me ride the Rats Nest to Springwood to meet up with the VJMC guys but at least she has let me drive her new Outback again. :good:

Never see this here.

Cyclone Debbie also deposited a shark on a road in the town of Ayr, in the north Queensland region of Burdekin, Queensland Fire & Emergency Services tweeted on Thursday (March 30).

At least the weather is great atm. We are even having cooler nights now. :good:
