Hey gang, can one of you knowledgeable folks tell me what year
Wings had the longer rear fender like the yellow bike here?
I've seen pics of several bikes with this longer rear fender.
My 76 has the shorter fender like the second pic and I'd like
to change it to the longer one. What year or model fender
am I looking for? (and will it fit my '76?)
Thanks everybody!

Somebody out there in Goldwing land must know something
about it. Here are two more with the same rear fender.
I WANT ONE! I WANT ONE!

P.S. Reminds me of the rear fender of a 60s
Norton Commando.

Looks a lot like one from an 1100 model. I think they might require slight modification to fit.

Hard to tell, but the two yellow ones appear(to me) o have regular fenders with mud flaps, or some other sort of extensions on them... :headscratch:

You are wanting, and looking at, a European-spec GL1000 rear fender.
Longer fender to accomodate the larger license plates of the era.
Lots of little differences in the Euro models compared to the US-spec models.

Goto eBay in one of the European countries for better luck on finding one.
Maybe a Member here is from a EU Country and can help.

PS - ...in looking at the first pic of the yellow bike a bit more, I see:
A boat registration number that puts it somewhere in the North of England (NA...),
A 4X3 designation on the bikes tag, hidden but still able to tell,
and the tag is prior to the EU forming, apparently period to the era of the bike, in that there is no country designation on it.

It's okay. Always nice to have a laugh occasionally.
