On long trips, I often ride with my feet up on the crash bars and often all the way up on the front part of the bars. Not always as comfortable as I would like and I do not have highway footpegs otherwise. I always thought that I would really like to have a rubber footrest right up there on the front part of the bar.

Well, low and behold I came across a real neat little set of highway pegs made for 1" crash bars:

For $18, I think they might be just the right thing! :yahoo:

I had a set of those mounted on the crash guards on my 750A years ago. Made a big difference when cruising, for sure. :good:

Used, Ebay. I have not been able to find any more of them anywhere else. They were made by Cycletron which is a company I cannot find any further information on.

Question: Don't those effectively put your knees right under your elbows?
Not really. I have setback/risers on my handlebars so they are closer to me (great for tennis elbow!) I already ride with my short legs up there now. Sometimes I have to remember not to slide down the plug wires with my boots. :hihihi:

I've been using them on long trips at the rear of the crash bar. Also have boards on the crash bars.
Any pics?

Both sets are in! :yahoo:

Man, they are so cool! Test fitted them for both positions. Boy, I am going to be one comfortable rider!!
(I just hope I don't fall asleep riding! Between my Road Sofa seat and these real nice rubber padded foot rests, I'll really need to pay attention. :hihihi: )

:headscratch: I know this is :0fftopic: but is your camera not working? You do realize that without pics it didn't happen right? :smilie_happy:
