OK. The original intent was Lake Havasu, but the plan has evolved into a tour of Death Valley instead.

The last couple of posts to the original thread had to do with gas availability. Really, the only time things might get interesting is if you go "off the grid" i.e. Rte 190. There are side trips - like to Scotty's Castle - but much can be seen from the main drag which has gas at both Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells if you pay the price. I carry an extra gallon on my Valk which goes dry at around 150 miles. I've only been worried a couple of times out here, but both times were due to poor planning.
I'll post a bit more here soon. My buddy and I rarely plan much, but lodging might be challenging unless backtracking is done out of the park immediate area.
