    Rear end wiggle.

So the tire is a VEE rubber 190 40 16 77H. Anyone heard of that type of tire or know anything about them... Maybe it is just a rear tire issue.

    Rear end wiggle.

Is it possible the guy put on the cheapest tire and it’s not actually rated for a Goldwing? Right size just maybe not sturdy enough? Is that even a thing with bike tires?

    Rear end wiggle.

Yes I get it usually when I am cruising around the 65mph area, I don't go much faster than that around here. My bags are usually empty, but I have had it happen alone and with my wife on the back. When it has done it while riding solo I have tried moving my body forward or back to see if...

    Rear end wiggle.

Hey all, I’ve got a 1982 1100, on the highway it sometimes will start to wiggle, not like a steering wiggle but like like my but starts to sway back and forth. It’s not terrible to ride but I am sure I look ridiculous we my rear swaying back and forth. I’ve already done wheel bearings, fork...

Starting my midlife crisis, here to soak up information

just bought my first Goldwing about 2 weeks ago. Unlike you I didn't think to look for advice or anything prior to buying it. Lol. The odometer says 3200kms or so on her so best guess is 103200kms on her. But there is no way to tell, it could be 203... Main things I looked for just as a...

Front forks air or no air what do I do

Thant was a good read. And after watching the video it seems more like weave than wobble to me... I am gonna check the head bearings?? next just to make sure its all good and tight. I also added more air pressure to the rear tire and will tighten up the rear suspension some...

Front forks air or no air what do I do

ok so I pulled the spring out of the front fork on the one side... I believe its a progressive spring so the air isn't required. That being said the oil in there was definitely not atf.... it smelled like cow manure and was grey/green looking. I will be doing a fork oil drain and flush for...

Front forks air or no air what do I do

Ok so this is a new to me 1982 Goldwing interstate. The rear air shocks have been swapped to coil overs but I have no idea about the front forks. On the highway I felt some wobble in the front end with just me on the bike and then today with my daughter on the back in the city I got some front...

First Cold Ride with the Wing today

I just winged it and rode my new bike home from where I bought it an hour and a half away. Left at 9pm and it was about 3 above Celsius and really windy. I kinda like to live on the wild side lol... Happily I lucked out and she made it without major issues. Had some wobble from time to time...

    what should I do first???

Well I just got off the phone with the local Honda dealer and after looking at my VIN he tells me that I have an american bike. I asked him what that means and basically told me that is made it more difficult to find parts for the bike. So now I wonder what else is different about this bike...

    what should I do first???

Hey all, well as some of you have seen in my welcome post I just picked up an 82 gl1100 interstate.  I have had other bikes, but usually newer stuff, however I am not afraid to work on old stuff as my forte is more the classic air cooled VW stuff.  Just want to know if there are any...

Time to get a Big Boy Bike

Yes I checked that and it is still mounted in there. I didn't even know about it until I read a few forums... Seems the PO may have got taken advantage of by the shop that supposedly did all the work. I saw the bill for the repairs and I am not totally convinced they did everything they say...

Time to get a Big Boy Bike

Well I just turned 40 this year and decided that my current mini rocket (Yamaha R3) wasn't maybe the best bike for me anymore. While I still really enjoy riding the little rocket, it lacks the comfortable highway cruising. It also doesn't haul my wife or daughter on the back very well and they...
