Shame on me, I have been playing on You Tube for a long time and just found your stuff.
The carb sync one was very helpful. It would have helped me a lot last year when I was wading the sync thing.
Thx Bud
Hate to make a nerdy comment but in your pile of stuff I see Mobile 1 oil. Stating the obvious here but the synthetic oil is very bad for the wet clutch in your wing. Just sayin
Ya that is a very good price. I am sitting on a nice back up set now and if I did not have them I would grab these myself. Somebody jump in before they are gone. Thx Zman.
I swapped out my caps with new NGK caps. Don't recall the exact number. Check out a few of the other Goldwing sites for the right ones. I got mine at a NAPA or Advanced Auto store for about $4-$6 each. Heads up: some places want $30 for 4 caps. PS swap out the coil pack with coils from a 1500...
A little off subject but have you seen the you tube video on using Epsom salt in your battery. Many claim that they get another year or 2. Gonna try my car battery in the next day or two.
Not sure if this is at all related but I had a float that was sticking. The bike had an obvious miss when this was happening and you could smell gas. Some guy here answered back that I should turn off the petcock while driving until the bike started to miss because it was running out of gas...
I think that my 1100 wing won't wheelie because there is an old 250# guy that drives it all the time.
I do miss driving the old sled in the winter though.
An old wing that can pull the front wheel of the ground sounds awesome. My '80 stock, low geared 1100 pulls real solid but sadly can't pull the front wheel off the ground. I know that from reading Joe's posts that he is a builder/part swapper that can do magic.
I have a Vetter and bought a set of lowers and find that there is less turbulence with the lowers on. I don't plan on taking them off when the warm weather returns. I have a radio pack that I might try again with the lowers. Without the lowers the radio gets drowned out at 50=60 mph. it has 3''...
I have a picture of one with my then girlfriend now wife sitting on it. It was not fast and tended to surge at highway speeds. The speed limit was 55 then. They would smooth out nicely at 70 mph. And the brakes were pretty weak. I installed tapered head bearings and a phenolic sprocket that...
OK here is mine and I used it again yesterday. I have a problem all riding season. My bike starts to miss at 4-5000 rpm. Talked about my problem here and it sounded like a sticky float. The fix required pulling the carbs. I have done this twice before and I think I would rather have a...
I have seen where many others have updated to newer style blade type fuse boxes with great results. I think there is a ''how-to'' somewhere that lays out the entire swap. Maybe others can chime in here to locate that site.
