I recently pulled my idle jets from carbs 2 & 4, cleaned them up, the horizontal holes were really bad and the jet was plugged. Anyhow nice and clean and back in the carb. However I have read that the removed jets may not stay where you put them after being pulled. Anyone have them fall out...

I have pictures and the Haynes manual the part in question is the backing ring right behind the upper bushing #8 in the Haynes manual. What side of the ring faces the bushing? It has a wide surface and an edge the same diameter as the bushing. Does the edge face the bushing? Thanks
