Are these the same pads that took you through the mouthing of Colorado to Sturgis? No wonder you never slowed down for me…

You must be running Slicks, Bro!! 😝

Comment by 'wadekj' in media 'Rear tire needed replacing'

That rear tire deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I watched it get abused across 9 states and 7k kilometers at speeds and elevations my 6th gear was barely comfortable keeping up with! A real trooper for sure...

Oh yeah! I remember parking and chasing that down on a freeway off-ramp before it could get run over...

I Love the mug Bro! Looks like some good times, but hanging with Harley's will give you a rotten reputation!

Good thing you have all that room for tools on the Old Girl... You are a good mate to have along on a ride... I speak from experience!

Two Great mates, Maverick and Rats Nest... One may be a little furrier but both just as dedicated and Loyal. I saw how Rats Nest never let you down, despite hard-running, high speeds and 1000 mile days. Glad to see she made the journey across the seas with you.

Steve it only made sense for you to be the final owner, as you pored so much love and sweat into getting these bikes into fighting shape. And now they really PURRRRRR! CONGRATULATIONS - she's a Sweet Ride and will treat you well in return! Thank You for ALL that you have done for us, and...

A Rats Nest siting in Las Vegas, and Randy came out to visit us. Yeah! Thanks Randy!

Steve - She sure Looks Good! You have a way with these old gals, making them feel and look young again! I was on the Rats Nest the other day for a quick ride around the neighborhood, and I was amazed at how nimble they feel and handle at low speeds. Figure eights and tight 360 turns are...

Great work, Steve! She is sounding nice and healthy! I'll say she is certainly a lot cleaner, than her cousin the Rat's Nest! I could eat my eggs straight off that motor, but she probably runs too cool for that! Thank you for all your hard work! kw

Divorce is not an option, and sounds far to expensive from what I hear... I'll just have to ride them both equally so there is no jealousy... Although the Rats Nest is still a bit of a dirty girl, as she was spraying right fork fluid up on my white helmet as I took it on a shakedown cruise...

Or use them as collateral to raise bail money... You know how those Australian bushrangers ride... Just look up "Ned Kelly." :moped:

Tony summed up the bike's history well. This planned 5k August trip to Sturgis (Dad and 2 brothers) would never have been possible without meeting some amazing GoldWing fans like Rod McLauchlin, his lovely wife Jane, and their good friend and riding partner Linda who pointed us to the right...

No small detail escapes the eagle eye of Steve the Master Craftsman! Well Done, Steve! It wouldn't be any fun, or very interesting, unless there were some challenges along the way...

Steve - you are a Master craftsman to be sure! I had a chance to ride the Old Girl yesterday when you delivered her to her temporary home, while she waits for my brother Tony to take the big trip across the Pacific. She feels solid, purs like a kitten, and handles like she just rolled off...
