Found the cause....gas line from fuel pump to carb, slight tear in line at carb inlet. Anyway, replaced and no leak! Thank god as i was cursing having to pull the entire carb bank out to check things out! Especially since got cold here again! Chicago! Monday 65, today 40!

After what seemed like 6 mo's of snow in Chicago, weather broke. At winterize, i ran the fuel out of carbs by turning of supply-drained bowls. 1983 GL 1100. Mind you, last year i did a complete rebuild of this bike, including carb rebuild n sync. Just tried to start, of course she purred...

Yeah, that sounds good. There is an area just south of wisconsin border off I-94 called Winthrop Harbor-North Point Marina has a lil restaurant & Bar as a meeting place. Re snowmobiling, we ride out of Asheltane--my buddy from Neenah has a cabin there.

Smoked my buddies 95th anniversary HD...jumped on the bikes (mine 83 GL 1100) while cruising at 40mph....he was outta sight when i looked back....he did find me at restaurant, only because he knew where to go! Now he's yapping how he can't beleive those old wings can get up and go!!! Ahhh sweet...
