Question to the people up north

The force is at right angles to the center of the spinning mass, so you get straight ice "spokes"

What was your very first motorcycle. Got a picture?

Not a pic of my bike, but mine looked a lot like this one. My first bike was a 1975 Suzuki 750 GT water buffalo, full dress. This was a 3 cylinder, water cooled, 2-stroke screamer of a bike. Even in full dress form, I used to pull away from 1000 cc bikes, at least till about 50 MPH! I do...

Please welcome in our newest forum for the SilverWing called Mini-Wings!

Here are my Wings.......notice the Silverwing is in front....LOL. I do ride the Silverwing more, cause I ride it to work every chance i get! She is getting ridden less and less however, to the point I am considering selling her. It's either that or a full on restoration this coming winter!

    My Rides

No on the camper....it is my debris hauling truck. We are restoring the house we live in, built in 1906, and it causes a lot of mess! All the other stuff is needed to enjoy life in northern Minnesota!

    Solenoid just clicking

Yep it is the starter. I went straight to it with jumpers, nothing. I took it out and took it apart, bad brushes and really grooved up armature! I don't know if the armature can be fixed up, so I will be looking for a new one. Any suggestions?

    Solenoid just clicking

OK, went out this morning to go for a little ride, battery seemed flat, so I hooked up the charger. Can't get it to do anything except click now. It did turn over a few times, but now nothing. Battery is good. I looked at the solenoid and main fuse and noticed the wire going into the left front...

Question to the people up north

Happens in the spring around here (northern Minnesota), all it takes is a decently warm day, somewhere around 32F, wet slushy snow, and rotation. It is formed from the spray of other vehicles you meet on the road sticking to your wheels and being moved by the rotational force until it freezes.

Hi, Todd here. I just bought a 1983 Goldwing Aspencade with only 28,000 miles on it. Love the bike, although it is still too cold to ride much here in northern Minnesota (still snow on the ground in places)! The difference riding 2 up between this Goldwing and my 1982 Silverwing is like night...
