I don't live that far away. I live in Sequim WA. I have a Ford Escape and can rent a U-haul, take the ferry and pick it up if it's okay with my wife. I have never owned a 1200... I've owned GL1000, GL1100, GL1500 so I need a GL1200 lol
Let me know if you still have it please

Holy crap! You right... Not cheap! $42? Wow
But thank you, I'll think about it.
I'm not really sure what happened to mine. It was there one day & gone the next.
A lot has happened since I started this post. We sold our house in Chico, CA and are looking for a house in Sequim, WA. But I did find the problem & I was right. The friend that put my fairing on, used those cheap 3M Scotchlok crap.
I will have to change all of the connections and...
TNX for the info... I went on a 200 miles ride yesterday with a new club, so I put it back together & didn't get a chance to start tracing but it did trigger a thought. I had a friend put on a fairing about 4 yrs ago & I think he only taped the wires in the old headlight. Also check for...
I don’t know if anybody has had this problem but My low beam stopped working.
I used my ohm meter to check the headlight bulb & is has continuity on all contacts. So I check voltage & ground. Ground has 0 ohm, the high beam has 12 volts but the low beam only has from 8.7 volts to 10.9 volts. I...
It could be a clamp from the neutral light, because it did come on in 5th gear a few months back and maybe it was just in the wrong place for a period of time & then fell down into the bottom.
Oh well... Life goes on...
I changed the oil in my 1980 GL1100 last Thursday and this little piece of nylon came out.
Can anyone tell me what it might be from?
I don't think it's a cable tie.
Also I went on a 200 mile ride on Sunday & nothing different happen.
I'm have no idea what it might be.

Quick update.
I have no idea why it did but changing the oil, filter and replaced the spark plugs magically DID fix it or so it seems. I did only 2 short trips on the freeway (about 2 miles each) and some riding around town, so I'm not really sure but I was out and about for 30 min and the...
This was a really fun day. I set up a ride to go to Thunderhill Raceway Park & then lunch at Nancy's Elk Horn Family Lodge in Elk Creek, CA just a few miles passed the raceway. I had 12 bikes go with me (some Honda, some Harley, 1 Yamaha Bolt & a Suzuki Boulevard) It was so much fun going out on the
Didn't try tap tap tap method because the frame is in the way... Also not going to pull the case off until winter but I did change oil, filter and replaced the spark plugs so maybe magically that will fix it... :hihihi: or not... :nea:
Great info and I'm NOT afraid to pull the front off again. I pulled it off a couple of yrs ago to replace the gasket on the water pump.
I try the tap, tap, tap method first  then maybe pull it about. I ride almost every day (as long as it not over 100° outside).
My neutral light started coming on in 5th gear about a month ago. It works fine for neutral and doesn't come on at any other time. Just 5th gear. I have been reading here that the 82 switch is internal and 81 is it external. So is my 80 external and can I adjust it?
