I called into my paint shop today to grab some "essential" supplies. One of the owners is a custom bike builder. His work is absolutely beautiful.
I wasn't sure if this was right spot to post it up but it is a CX/GL 500...

Yeah, nice work.

Having several CX500's, though, the #1 thing that going 'cafe' needs, is a higher final gear. I love my CX500D, it has gone forever with very little attention, just lots of fuel, occasional oil and tire changes, the only 'thing' that really wears out... is the speedometer...

But mine is548lbs. Pare it down to half that, and the venerable 4-valve twin's biggest weakness, is that the gear ratios are just too low for the engine and bike combo. Second is (and if you've ever ridden a CX500T, you'll understand)... the engine has lots of additional potential... with just a few pounds of boost...

Yup.. I was always looking for the next gear.... I had CX650 Sports. I rkn it's one of the better sounding V twins. I ended up selling it to buy a cbx 6....bugger me I've never heard of someone killing a CX engine but this guy did....

There was a guy here in Oz somewhere with a mint CX650 turbo for sale. $10kaus. not very many of those built and were considered to be the perfect turbo at the time. As a young teenager... I stumbled across a playboy magazine that had a full write up/review of the 500 turbo. My dad found the mag and was trying to chastise me over having an adults mag... I had to stop him... No no no dad.... Check this out... Honda's CX500 turbo... Still remember it clearly... Think that was the day my dad realised I loved motorcycles more than girls.... Lol

I don’t speak Italian, but I’m quasi-familiar with Spanish. Looks like he might have done something four times? (WAG)
