Bike starts good, voltmeter shows 13.2 volts after engine start. Had all the lights and tach, but now nothing. Headlight relay? :builder:

The blackout started after I put a switch in the headlight circuit to cut off the headlight during starting.

Go to that point in the circuit you were working. Sounds like something was disturbed.

If you used a Automotive five pin relay to switch the light you may have hooked it normal open instead of closed

Well, once you've made a modification that seems to have initiated the issue, there's not much we can do to help. As I suggested, take a real close look at the switch connections - if it's a double throw, you might have the wrong contacts connected. Otherwise, something else got disrupted. (Of course, check the fuses. If you shorted something, fuse(s) will blow.
