My mate Paul was keen to meet up for a coffee at Springwood Suzuki Saturday morning before his lunchtime shift. He was hoping to see the Rats Nest and check out the other early model bikes. Back in the day he had owned a 76 Gl1000 so he has a soft spot for the old girls. He has owned his 75 Harley since 1989 and he was telling me that it was originally imported into South Africa and when his mate moved to Oz he brought it with him.
Where Paul parked was next to the late model Valkyrie that I had photographed the last time I was there.
I happened to catch up with owner of the Valkyrie and he told me it was one of the last “new” ones for sale in Oz and he managed to buy it for $13K aud about 8 weeks ago. :good:
