1986 GW Interstate for Parts

Have an opportunity to get an '86 Interstate for parts. It is a complete bike with some small issues, has been sitting in the back forty for a few years, and only has 48K Kms on the clock. Comes with an ownership. Don't need another project bike, but there would be a lot of good parts on it. My issue is storage and getting parts out to the community. More pics:Thoughts? Not a lot I can use, and since it is on Vancouver Island, parting out and getting parts delivered is an issue. Thinking this is a pass on my part. An '85 Limited Edition would be a different story.

Looks like a pass to me unless the low mileage engine is of use.

Seems the FD would do you some good.

Hmmm look like a lot of good parts ...

I did a quick look. The side mirrors, starter if operates, fuel pump, key with switch - combined with the shelter lock and saddlebags/trunk, calipers as a set, good dash, saddlebag lids - someone is always loosing these. Strip the engine in the frame; good valve covers, heads could be used/refurbished, carb set. If room was no issue, might even be a good project bike. It would be one of those nice bare bones projects. Best issue is that it has an ownership/title.
