I want to add/change hydraulic fluid in the Maxon wheelchair lift on my Ford E-150 van.

The maintenance manual recommends "Mobil Univis HVI 26"

Googled it and found that it comes in 5 gal pail for more than $300 shipped.
Is there any suitable replacement in 1 Gal container?

The manual doesn't say the capacity but I don't think it uses more than a gallon.

I searched up some and found hydraulic fluid is a study all it's own lol.
I expected a simple cross over but not that easy I guess.

Grainger has been helpful with stuff like this. Might be worth a phone call.

Automatic transmission fluid will cross for most all hydraulic fluids. I would certainly expect it would be fine for a lift such as yours.

Oh, that's convenient.
I don't even have to go out to buy one.
Thanks!
