I tried one that has the clamps to the frame on each side of the seat but backs of my thighs pressed on them when riding which got uncomfortable. It also put me too far forward at 6'2" tall. It did make me sit straight which was nice. May be with a different seat than stock my experience would have been better, I don't know.

I had a Markland on my '86 SEi that was very comfortable for me, but I didn't have a pillion. If you occasionally have a pillion, I feel it best to have one easily removable like Utopia.

Couldn't ride long distance without my backrest. I had a Travelcade seat with backrest that was adjustable. It was similar to the Utopia backrest and it was removable.
