tin top adventure pt.2

ever since I broke my foot I've been trying to go get mom at least once a week and take her to lunch and just get her out of the house for a few hours. I was looking at an older post I made decided to do another report featuring mom. I picked up mom about 10:30 yesterday morning for a return visit to Port Huron, MI. last time we were there it was cold and windy but yesterday it was about 60f with just a light breeze when we arrived. I took her to see a few things that she didn't get to see on the first visit because of the weather. once we parked the tintop we took a stroll along the pier to the port huron light ship

after those pic's we took a short drive to the other end of Thomas Edison park for a few pic's and to show her a few things we didn't get a chance to see the first time

we took the short drive around to the fort Gratiot light house

back in port huron we had lunch at freighters restaurant. seeing that my phone doesn't like my ugly mug I didn't bother taking a selfie

we even got to see a couple lakers while having lunch. after all of that we made our way through port huron rush hour ( it was close to 15:30 ) for our hour plus drive back to the motor city. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I think they will give me the " ok " to stop wearing the boot, I told mom that it would most likely be our last weekday lunch fun for awhile cause i'll be back on the job either late tomorrow or Thursday

yes I am ready to give das boot the boot we are starting to get a ton of leaves from the sick-a-more trees and it would be tough going to get up leaves with the boot on plus I have some rearranging to do in the garage so I can bring the sunL 70 and the XL 70 home

Mom appears to be enjoying herself, probably the company she keeps. Tell her "Life's too short, eat dessert first".
