Finished up throttle link changes to give better control over throttle. Test rode 60 miles and it road out very well, little to no chugging, its as if the seals are sealing and as it gets miles on, its settling in. This is a fun bike.

Watched the '82 ride away under its new owner. Uh-oh...now I have a big empty space in the garage...must resist...resistance is futile...must resist...MBS is a powerful force!!!

I tracked down the charging system parts after completing the stator testing last night. I set up a horse trade for the new RR that I will adapt to the current setup. Researched how to patch in the sensor wire so over charging does not occur, read up on this pretty well, and the RR upgrade is considered a plus.

I also prepped and drilled the mounts for my saddle bags. I Sanded and cleaned the mounts and painted them. I cleaned up the bags with a good soapy water bath and prepped them for paint, they are abs so its pretty much get the grease off them and make sure the dirt is gone. Removed fake chrome tape and cleaned the locking mechanisms removing some 20 odd years of shed dust and shed rust.

Prepared other paint options as well. Tomorrow we pick up the charging system parts, and make another scrap run, we are skinning the old RV and starting with a new matel framed shell, that old wood frame was too far gone. Lots of copper to strip and sheet aluminum to haul out, should be worth a few hundred dollars.

Anyway, anxiously waiting for parts and wishing I would have rode the bike to get them, it was a beautiful riding day that I passed on.

Changed the stereo due to too much rain while I was in North Carolina. It seems USB readers don't like to be wet and the FM stations around here play too much of the same music. Now I can once again listen to music I have on my thumb drives again. :music:

INstalled new RR and finished painting the saddle bags I am mounting

Got the wiring done with out butchering the oe harness at all, I soldered my connections right into the round male wire ends on the harness. Worked out great. I have been riding it with trailer attached to work and back so as to get accustomed to tge extra length.Thhe Kustom Kamp pulls beautifully and I have to remind myself thst it's back there!

Why are your signals hanging down?

They will be gone in the morning after I finish wiring in the red lights as signals, needed to expose the wiring for the circuit, and they are coming off the bike.
