Well......apparently you should look at the correct wiring diagram for your year bike! Mine does not have the reserve stuff! Sweet! I still need to relocate things but what a relief....
Has there been much discussion on using a smaller battery? I'd like a smaller one to hide easier. (Run lights...
Thank you much everyone! While I wait for money and parts I decided to open up a can of worms and redo all my wiring lol....I'll have a list of not what to do pretty soon!

That is interesting! Electrical stuff is my weakest area...for whatever reason my Brain just doesnt absorb it.
I need to blow up the schematic into a poster so I can read it easier.
Thanks for the replys!

I hope this isn't a sore topic here, if so....my apologies as I havent found it yet.
I'm wanting to eliminate everything not needed on this bike. Eventually I will add lights to it but I would like a complete stripped down setup. Cheap....I will be making it.
I am fairly new to motorcycle...
I enjoy cleaning them...just not syncing them lol. Mine should be good for a while, just rebuilt them and repaired a broken float post in the number 4.

Had my 78 gl1000 for a few years now, had its ups and downs, now it's under the knife. I think I would like to dabble with a single carb conversion....so that's how I wound up here! Not sure if I can contribute much since I'm still a rookie goldwing guy but at least I can comment on what not to...
