Good Bye North Dakota Greetings from Denver Colorado

Yep, we did it. We moved to Denver CO last week. I rode the wife's bike down and it was awesome, for a 650 that bike sure travels well. Its the one with the soft bags in the picture on my header. Anyway, safe and sound and getting life together in the new place. Gotta run, just wanted to...

Single Carb Manifold with EMPI Carb

I used the .004 mm feeler gauge too, its getting something thin between the seal and the fork to remove the stuck debris is the concept, and I bet a pepsi bottle would be perfect. right thickness on the plastic.

    Will be Wingless very soon

Thanks guys, I loaded her this morning and the new owner will be here at 9:00 am. Happy she is going to a good home, and I will be servicing her. The buyer is one of my regulars.

    Will be Wingless very soon

I agree on the reliability, but when I bite into the next one, it has to run. I typically have a no non-running bikes when I buy. SO we will see. I do love the way they ride, they are so confident on the road. That and I sort of what the 1200.

    Will be Wingless very soon

And here is the other reason the wing had to go. The UM/Hyosung is not supported very well, and I tried to sell it last year. The highest bid didn't even meet reserve. I could only get a grand for it because it is not a known brand, and their support and dealership. I got a better bid on the...

    Will be Wingless very soon

Thanks Dan, I really enjoy it here. And I am saving to pull the trigger on the FB6 next spring. I know its new, but that bike kind of haunt me after the test ride this spring.

    Will be Wingless very soon

You know, I really enjoy the group. And you never know what happens to me in the spring, I will always love the ride of the bike. I have just never felt safer on a bike than with a goldwing. And I cut the leather gaskets yesterday and put them on where the manifold hits the head, and they...

    Will be Wingless very soon

Well, we are living on half of our usual income as I live at home to take care of one of my kids with what I will call health issues that require regular supervision for an unspecified amount of time. Not up for discussion, but it just needs to be done. Sadly, we received our predicted fuel...

What did you do to your Wing today ?

Well, I am making leather gaskets for the carb conversion., oh, and I pulled the adapter off so I can get a plate machined to handle the 2 into one barrel piece that we put on the plenum. I mounted the carb right on the plenum after a bit of dremel work. I have to be honest, it runs out...

    canuckxxxx's Single carb manifold build

I love the Hondaline fairing ss. I had on the CB1000C. I loved that bike. At any rate it had the Dondaline fairing. I am running a Vetter III now and I like it, need to trim the windshiels, get some mirrors on it, and I will be good to go. I am getting just under 45 mpg, but mine is the...

What did you do to your Wing today ?

Rode it Like I Stole It!!!! Did the economy test, 25 miles on a known fill spot, and my numbers show that it came out to average mileage being a nudge higher than 46 mpg, I ran 15 miles on the super slab and the rest was in town riding in the lower gears. Thats better mileage than I got on my...

    Primary Closing Incorrectly

VACUUM IS SUPREMELY IMPORTANT.... You cannot get these things to tune well unless the vacuum is known to be good, it is 90% of the problems or was on the ones I encountered. The smaller jet helps on take off, and the idle is rich, so that will be the big change here, that and a 105 being removed...
