    83' GL1100 Engine problem

    Try to determine condition of oil in crankcase. I'm living in Cda where most liq cooled motors have antifreeze as coolant. It sometimes leaks into the motor oil from leaking head gasket or metal crack.. If enough coolant (antifreeze) leaked into the oil it may have caused the motor to seize...

    Hi Derrick - Tks for getting back also for the insight re the carb boots and rebuild on floats & gaskets. I have heard that syncing of the carbs takes a bit of patience. For sure if I go ahead with this it'll come home strapped down on the trailer. Tks again
