So.... Gl 1100 is sidelined and here’s my 1200 just purchased for a mere $200.
This bike had more lights on it than a Xmas tree!
Stripped her down and installed single carb. Plan is to totally redesign.

Read your first post, and thought to myself that I don't remember the GL1200 lighting being that bad.

Then I checked the pictures. Oh my!

Interesting looking windshield. My Black GL1200A came with 36 EXTRA lights 26 in the rear and 10 up front. I'm of two minds about all these Christmas lights. I don't care for the aesthetics however with the amount of iPhone Zombies driving these days any extra lighting can't hurt.

So what is the final plan stripped MX bike :)

Yep, crazy lights and all have been removed!
I completed my single carb install and she started right up. These machines are amazing!
Should have seen the look on the neighbors faces when I took her around the block. Bike is fully stripped. I did change the oil and no concerns there.
I’m going for a steampunk design this time. Very happy the engine runs well and she shifts nicely too.
Next up.... some new tires to ride a little more then take everything off to clean up and rebuild. I already replaced rear shocks with some Honda shadow ones I had lying around the shop. Will keep everyone posted with pics too!
