My name Is Bill Robinson. Just recently bought a 1982 Honda GL 1100. Previous owner put a lot of time and an passion into upgrade. May have seen some videos on line. Il upload some pics. Love the bike an its massive engine. Been on a bike since I was 16. At the time was the cheapest was to get around.First bike was a Yamaha xj750rl sport tour. Loved it. In the prosses of getting the 1100 hulk certification ready an leagle. Gonna need some help lol..question. I will donate 10 bucks here soon...an try an make a habit. Make some new friends. My wife cheated on me so split up sold house an got something I could relie on an trust... A gold Wing lol.

My first post I said cheapest way to get around..I meant car vrs bike costs.The yammy I bought for 700 bucks. Now bikes ..all bikes are the cheapest way to get around because of goddam gas prices.

Bike looks nice. I like the tires actually.

I'm sorry, but, I don't get the knobby tires on a bike like this. Did the PO actually take it off road? I didn't think so.
And if you did take it off road, you'd want fenders.

I get the cafe racer thing, I also understand scramblerizing a bike that you're going to take on smooth-ish gravel or dirt roads, but, don't understand the blocky tires on a street bike thing.

I don't get the tires as well..like I said just bought it..never in a hundred years would I say to stealer... Can u put on Motorcross tires dude! (Stealer) we call em that in Toronto. Instead of dealer.. But..regardless I bought as is so il see how it goes. I live in a cottage rural type environment on rice lake..bewdley ontario canada..so tires may help me out...have a steep gravel driveway lol.

An that's my next question...I have origanal fenders PO provided them..but wanna get away from 80s look..can anyone recommend decent looking after market smaller cooler looking front an back fenders? An I have origanals if anyone wants to buy?

I bought an Icon Flight helmet. Love it. All purchased the Brake Free helmet brake light..when u brake it lights up 4x brighter. Works great I have another bike a 650 suzuki dl. Light works great get a lot of compliments. Purchased it after watching shark tank. 2 guys from California..silicone valley (figures) created it...An one the guys flat out loved it and they went into business together.270ish canadian. So u guys should be able to buy it for 40 bucks or so lol
