Hello Again, I’ve heard that I’m able to change my 1981 single piston front brake calipers to 1982 Dual Piston calipers. I’m told it will greatly improve my stopping distance. Has anyone done this or have tips for me? Currently I installed a new front master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Bob

Pretty sure that 1100 to 1100 is a direct swap. I had to make adjustments when I used them on my 1000. You may find that lever travel on your new master is increased due to the extra fluid transfer. Do make sure that whatever you buy IS from 82 and not 83!

I'd think a look at the part numbers of '81 vs '82 would be a source of the parts required (part numbers are available here in the Gallery Index & Tech Ref) like lower fork legs, calipers, hosing, brackets, master cylinder and probably others I'm not thinking about.
