Rode from Daytona beach to almost St. Augustine Fla. on hgwy A1A, light winds, bright sun, Atlantic ocean as the continuous mural to my right. Just a nice afternoon, lucky to be here.

Well today was good and bad...the Bills lost, maybe next time. Then there was the good...I didn't go down when my rear tire went flat at 55 on a 4 lane, and the guys behind me slowed down to let me swerve and sway my way to the side of the road. Not an experience I want to repeat...ever! Turns out the 90 degree valve stem that I wanted so bad ripped at the rim, just 2 minutes after I slowed down from 80! AAA got me home on a flatbed and now both wheels are getting new valve stems. I'll be insisting on the short rubber ones, nothing fancy.
Don't be jealous bunsteve, it'll take till tuesday to find a bike shop open to repair this. Contemplating trying to to put a new stem in without pulling the tire off myself.

Good on ya for keeping her upright! Flats are scary. Only a little bit jealous. Wife and I took a nice (car) ride to Vermont Country Store yesterday. The trees and mountains looked like they were frosted with that nice light whipped cream frosting my Mom used to make. Some parts were like driving in a white tunnel.

I have been leaving the top box off lately and decided to try a different look to make the bike lighter and cleaner. Got a spare luggage rack and cut the top box mount off. I like the look and shed 6 lbs. The stub handles are left to put bike on the centerstand.
I'll regret this next time I want the top box and have to do 45 minutes labor to put it back on!

You might want to consider taking advantage of the post on the back of the left cam and installing a Power Arc C5 ignition right there too, i dunno how it'll work with the nitrous, but you'll be able to use a much wider range of settings on the 2 barrel as well as making starting a whole lot easier.

I'm looking forward to your finished result. Just having nos available to try would be a hoot! ...and blowing up a motor if it comes to that. This is how we learn sometimes!
