You can use water if your Electrics are good or starting fluid or any flammable spray can. I quite often use silicon spray when I am working out of my car to get an engine to fire that doesn’t have a working fuel system. The only problem with silicon spray for me is that it is expensive and not as efficient as starting fluid.

Check the secondary air crap. Might want to just remove as some others have done already.

Found the problem . One of those little vacuum hoses again that was not hooked up. Are these supposed to have little clamps on them?

Bike is running great now. no missing / sucking sound anymore.

Are you talking about the balance ports? Some hoses do have the little spring clips but it usually isn’t required with vaccum lines.

These are vacuum tubes and you are correct, no clips required after i went back and looked at some pics i took prior to shipping off to rebuild.
I'm getting excited. Just 2 weeks and i'm off from work for the summer , soooooooooo planning a motorcycle trip on the Wanderer III

I should never have sold this bike !!

Understood made to care.
Thats why i have four, still setting in my garage.
Two 1200 standards, & two dressers, 87, & 91.
Seems that i got sidetracked with used Jaguars.
Wife had breast cancern, needed me home
Bought the first one for her for recovery to drive.
Their resale falls like a stone.
Especially with their past bad reputation.
But she chose to take the Civic, over the Jaguar
Since i Just could not find a decent used Toyota.
With auto trans, & air, for the same price.
Too much time, money, & work invested.
With too little resale value for the bikes.
So i just parked them in the rear of the garage.
Hope to get back into riding them this season, after six years absence.
Have the two Jaguars running now, with a ten year old Toyota grocery getter.
Wife has what she wants, & i have two aluminum Jaguars.



No money

The hardest thing in life is realizing you let something go that you possibly shouldn't have. I've done it too many times with bikes. All I can say is to think really hard for a while before deciding to sell again.
