1987 honda goldwing trike 1200
Ya just wanted to get some opinions on changing my 4 carbs to a single one my ride is a 1987 honda goldwing trike 1200 been sitting when I got it took carbs off 3 times still won't crank cylinders are dry after trunking over quite a bit

Getting fuel to carbs but not cylinders

Don't give up on those carbs, they are better than the alternatives unless you are a carb whisperer. If you are new to these, then I recommend you spend the tuition money for a complete kit from Randakks including the instruction video. Clean & rebuild your carbs including bench synch and leak test. Goldwingdocs.com has good tutorials to teach you...knowledge is power

What do you think about the rebuild kits from ebay when I got this trike it was leaking gas on left side I took carbs off replaced all jets and needles and seats didn't pull plunger out really didn't clean in vat stilled leaked found out it was o ring on fuel tube so that was the second time I took carbs off so it still don't crank so it will come off one more time this time I'll take it all the way down and vat them as well do a good job this time that carb ain't easy to get off

Thanks for talking with me about this I've had it a couple months and no body even will give any information about it not even the dealer

They are junk, don't bother. Ever heard of punctuation?

Well got carbs done can anyone tell me how to test fuel pump relay book don't say a lot about it and my pump don't pump all time

I had to buy OEM float valve needles and seats to get mine to work correctly. Not cheap but they worked first time. You need to bench test before putting back on the bike. You want to see the float level in each carb when you supply fuel to them. Mines an 82 so no electric fuel pump. Cant help you there. A factory service manual is a big help.

Harbor Freight sells an inexpensive low pressure fuel pressure gauge with tubing and connectors to T it inline while testing. You are only looking for ~3-4 psi, but you need to measure flow also (timed into say, a quart jar).

you will want the early torque provided by the oem carbs. keep at it until you get them right! a honda service manual will save you lots of $$$$$$$$ and even more time. bite the bullet and get it done right.
