    LED headlite

I like halogens just fine, so, no I haven't, lol! But I have seen others that have, so they are apparently available. I'm not much help am I? Lol!

    speedometer

I hate when that happens, lol!

Where do I plug in the headlight?

Basically it will have the same appearance as the CB550 or CB750 that uses those signals. Most people won't even notice, after all, you would still be installing factory Honda signals. A vintage Goldwing guy will notice, but to anyone else it will look just as factory as the low-mounted ones...

    The Mayflower: AKA - I bought a non-running '82 GL1100

Did you mean from the rear reservoir to the rear master cylinder? I use whatever grade hose that will stand up to brake fluid, usually fuel injection hose, or clear plastic tubing.

    Oil leak

It's a chrome ashtray now, lol!

Where do I plug in the headlight?

You can also install the CB550 & CB750 front signals on the headlight stay at the headlight bucket itself. Then just put any Honda reflector over the original signal mount with double-sided tape. That would also save you the trouble of finding the GL1000 headlight-mounted reflectors, as well...

Where do I plug in the headlight?

The listing is correct. I checked a signal mount on one of my '75 GL1000 parts bikes on Sunday, before referring you to the above listing. The threaded hole in the '75 headlight stay is LARGER than 12mm, (which would be 14mm) & I even took a 12mm bolt with me to confirm this. Furthermore...

    Synthetic oil?

Waiting its turn like everything else right now, lol!

Where do I plug in the headlight?

Correct. Look close at my profile pic and the front signals on my '75 GL1000. The OE reflectors are the hard thing to find, lol!

    Synthetic oil?

Hey, Roy. Look what popped up in my suggested reading list! I had not realized we had this conversation over 2 years ago. Never would have guessed I'd be buying the bike in question back then either, lol!

    The Mayflower: AKA - I bought a non-running '82 GL1100

Yes, I can fit a full-face helmet in each of the 3 bags, as they are identical in shape & size. I can also carry nine 5-quart jugs of Mobil-1, 3 in each bag, lol! Factory helmet locks are outdated & useless to me; my favorite helmets have ratchet latches on the chin-straps, not d-rings.

    The Mayflower: AKA - I bought a non-running '82 GL1100

If someone bought the STD, the dealer could install a factory Interstate fairing & lowers & whatever Hondaline stuff was available that year. I suppose they could even order replace Interstate Bags and brackets and re-fit them on a STD so they could be factory color-matched. This photo is how...

Lets do some Honda lock exploring.

I thought about doing this re-key job on my '81 as well, but the lock & blank used for the removable bags is so different from the bike key, I came to the same conclusion and left my bag locks the way they came, also. Unfortunately, I only have the 1 original bag key, and have not been able to...

    The Mayflower: AKA - I bought a non-running '82 GL1100

It's interesting that the '82 removable bags are square & black. My '81 removable bags are rounded and bike-color. Both were Hondaline accessories back then. The 1st owner of mine bought a GL1100 STD and had the Hondaline fairing and bags installed at the dealer when he made the original...

Sources for brake lines these days?

I get mine duplicated by the local hydraulic hose shop.

    what did you do today

I would not be surprised if both front hoses & calipers need to be replaced. You don't want either to lock up or drag on the front or you will have steering & skidding issues. Same goes for the rear hose and drum cylinders.

    what did you do today

Today I looked at the rain, and my bikes, and more rain, and decided a nap was in order.

I wish these animations were around 40 years ago when I started riding & wrenching on my own bikes!
