    Oh Man... what is it now?

    GL1000 been running great, then went to hell. 200 miles on carb rebuild, valve adjust, new timeing belts, and new ignition. Thought maybe fuel filter... nope. Notched gasket on fuel cap... nope. Petcock?.... nope, drained tank and blew in air, seems ok. Got fire at all 4 plugs. Opened...

    Dynatek has me pissed....

    Tried to install brand new Dyna s ignition, only to find one of the pickups was defective. :head bang: Took me hours of frustration with my ohm meter and test lite to find out my problem was with a brand new part. I've went through hoops to get a return authorization number to send it back...

    carb sync and fuel mixture

    Finally got the old girl running. Took a couple of weeks, but wrapping it up. Adjusted valves, new timing belts, new tires, and rebuild carb. Took me all day to sync the carbs cause of chasing vacuum leaks. Intake tubes need to be tight.... Carb sync seems to be even across the board @ 5lbs...

    '78 gl1000 LTD with oem 100/90/19 frt- 130/90/17 rear : question is can I fit a larger tire without rubbing anything?

    fuel mixture baseline

    Just finished rebuilding carbs. Anyone know what the baseline adjustment is for the fuel mixture screws? I've got them turned out 2 and a half turns now. Is that right? Thanks Hans (deleted post, duplicate in another thread DF)

    newbie, puzzling valve adjustment problem

    78 gl1000 new to me. Changed out timing belts, and am positive that cam marks on both sides are pointing outward. With "T" @TDC #1 and #2 intakes are both fully closed.
