I had the same issue. Changed out the front bearings,slight improvement. The air pressure, never did go away till I traded it for a BMW. I just never felt solid on it, part of why I sold it. Should have known it was tires.

BTW, $5000 is what I paid for my 2000 K1200LT, 5 years newer, 50K miles, EFI, all the bells and whistles and is said to have the most passenger comfort of any bike made. I hopped on and rode it 250 miles after picking it up. Just something to think about.
